Bus Radiator Explodes, Burns Students

The Alpenhorn News reported that a school bus heading to a California school in the San Bernardino Mountains was disabled along State Highway 18 when “something exploded” and students were “burned badly.”

According to an anonymous source, “They had kids sitting on the 18” with the bus driver calling “for a back-up bus,” but the driver received “no help” and one student “got burned badly.”

Rim of the World Unified School Transportation explained that “a fitting in the line with the coolant hoses failed, discharging hot water under the seats where a couple students were sitting.”
