American Cooling Technology, Inc. (ACT), a manufacturer and supplier of air conditioning systems for school buses, has been purchased by private investment firm KODA Enterprises Group.
The former owners of ACT, James Schreiber and J. R. Lucas, and their staff will now become KODA employees and the York, Penn.-based plant will remain the base of operations.
“Teaming with KODA will allow ACT to continue and improve upon its leadership position in our markets. Both James and I are excited and look forward to our new roles with KODA,” said Lucas.
KODA also owns ProAir, LLC, which will make for some “significant synergies in combining forces with ACT,” according to the company.
“We have watched and admired ACT in our markets and I feel that this combination will strongly benefit both companies and will be great for our combined customers,” added Dennis Mitchell, president of ProAir.
